Episode 1x05 Post Mortem
First off, they should have called the episode Different Accordion, because the Gnarly Gnome never once uses a drum. It’s all accordion. There’s not a single drum in the episode. UNLESS you count the deaf girl’s ear drums, which didn’t work and, I suppose, were “different.” That just seems mean to think that they’d title the episode with a derogatory nickname towards this poor girl. ”There goes ole Different Drum!” yelled that red tights chick before she realized what she was doing and owed Deaf Girl her life for saving her from eternal imprisonment.
Anyway, the episode taught us about teamwork again, kind of, but mostly that you can do anything and be honored as a hero if you run to the Power Rangers for help. All of the teen girls were saved, Ernie gave everybody complimentary soda and the Deaf Girl asked Billy to dance, which he took as an opportunity to do some breakin’ moves. I don’t know. It all works.
